What are Dental Crowns ?

Crowns, also known as caps or tooth coverings, are manufactured specifically to fit your lost tooth. They may be constructed of metal alloys, silver, or gold. They may also be constructed of zirconia, acrylic, or porcelain. Crowns made of porcelain that are the same color as your teeth look and feel more natural.

Three Step Procedure

Step 01

First, after a consultation, the tooth will be cleaned and reshaped using a local anesthetic to make room for the crown.

Step 02

Secondly, we’ll take a mold of your teeth and send it to our in-house lab, where ceramic crowns and other types of crowns are manufactured to order. The benefit of having an in-house lab is that our technicians may utilize “the real thing” as a reference to replicate the size, shape, and color of your existing teeth. We supply you with a temporary crown at this period.

Step 03

Finally, we’ll take off the temporary crown and place the permanent one when you return so we can make sure it complements your smile and bite. If we are satisfied with the outcome, your new crown is put in place, and you leave with your new crown!

Benefits of Crowns and Bridges

A crown can hold broken teeth in the proper position and stop further damage since it covers the entire tooth.

A crown's smooth surface will offer a more comfortable feeling among your other teeth for individuals who dislike the way a severely broken tooth feels.

The crown will feel and appear like a natural tooth following treatment, so it's crucial that you take care of it the same way you do your natural teeth.

Bridges are used to repair missing teeth, which can frequently look unattractive and subtly undermine confidence. As a result, both appearance and confidence are restored.

When food becomes trapped inside gaps, it can lead to gum disease and tooth decay, which a bridge can stop.

Getting a bridge has other health advantages as well, including preventing jaw disorders brought on by an incorrect bite because of the gap or gaps.

Crowns can also
be used if :

You’ve had a root canal on a tooth

You have a broken tooth

To support a large filling

To cover a discolored tooth

Our Strong,
Cutting-Edge
Dental Crowns & Bridges

When choosing what kind of crown to use, there are various things to consider. Ceramic crowns, which may be customized to match the hue of neighboring teeth and their transparency nature, have the most realistic appearance. They are durable and incredibly hard. Porcelain fused to metal (PFM) crowns are sufficiently sturdy but typically not as aesthetically pleasing as ceramic crowns due to the possibility of a black metal edge showing just above the gum line or the absence of ceramic’s glossy quality. Another
consideration is your budget. Ceramic crowns cost more than PFM crowns.

Zirconia crown, a ceramic, is the best material available in terms of strength and beauty, but it is also typically the most expensive.
